Molten Metal

This piece was quite fun and difficult to make. It is actually 3 layers of copper. The stone is held by tabs and is a dichoric glass cab. The back of the pendant has been etched and the bail cut from the backplate and rolled over. The necklace is made with 2 strands of natural leather finished off with hand made copper end coils and clasp.

This piece has tons of texture and I love it. I wore it today to the girls doctors appointments and actually recived a couple of comments on it.

I just love this piece of yours! May be my favorite. I hope to have a similar jewelry blog/journal up before too long. When it happens, I'll share the address. I'm such a beginner. But I would really love to chat back and forth about jewelry and creating. Have a great day! Anna

      Hi, Thanks Anna.

This was a really fun piece. Like I said, it didn't end up how I thought it would, but I sure like the way it turned out. It gets all sorts of comments.

I would love to see your blog when you get it started. I think this is one of the best things I have done. I only started it in January, but it is so much fun to see the progress I have made since that time.

And, if it makes you feel any better, I am a beginner too. Keep working at it and you will be fantastic in no time at all. I can't wait to see what you come up with.

Melissa, perhaps we could exchange email addresses... mine is edwards@sunny-net.ne.jp I would very much like to chat more and share photos of works-in-progress. And congratulations on the "back to school" plan. I'm very envious!
