I finished the Necklace!!!!

What a busy week this has been. I met with the owner of Grand River Beads in Cleveland this week and have scheduled my first four classes. YAY! I am so excited.

School starts on Monday for me and Tuesday for Riley. Today we went school clothes shopping. Kids clothes are a total rip off. They wanted $25 for a shirt for a little girl. I was able to go into my sizes and find shirts all over the place for under $15. Needless to say, Riley got a little less at that store than I did. hahaha But she will still be clothed and styling this year, don't you worry about that.

I finally finished the necklace I have been working on. Good heavens it took forever. The final chain measures 18 1/2" long. I figure the selling price of this beauty is going to be close to $1,000. It is made with fine silver which is 99.9% pure. This is not Sterling. The necklace is beautiful. It is soft and feels absolutely wonderful on.

Hello! I have just discovered your work via the Beading Daily email I recieve. I'm really impressed and love your work. Very inspiring- I have just become addicted to wire work and chain-maille (as well as beading!)This necklace is beautiful - I can see tha hours spent in attention to detail. Kind regards, I'll be back for lots of looks at your work. Vicki (in Oz).

      Hi Vicki,

Thank you so much. I love wire work and I love adding fire to the mix. It has been a lot of fun. I haven't tried any chainmaille yet, one day, perhaps.

I figured that this set took me about 22 hours total to make. I think I used about 35 feet of fine silver wire also. Dang that was a lot of wire. ;D

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I hope to hear from you some more.

      Hi Susan,

I just updated my Design Journal with the currently scheduled class dates, times and locations.

The gallery where I will be teaching is The Silverthorne Gallery in Rocky River (Cleveland). I am actually teaching for Grand River Beads, but they are now located in the gallery.
