Happy Birthday Kelsi
I don't often make a piece specifically for me, but this very special one is just for me.
Today is my Angel Kelsi's 3rd Birthday. I cannot believe that 3 years have gone by already. It just blows me away. The end of the year is really hard for me any more. So I decided to make something nice for me. It isn't the best as far as quality workmanship, but since it is for me, it is okay. It will always be a special piece for me.
I stamped the words "Forever My Angel" on a flat bezel wire. I stamped Kelsi's Dates and her name on the back. Inside I have created a little foot and butterfly with PMC. They sit suspended in clear resin. The back is actually a deep purple, not black like the picture shows. I have used a clear doming resin, although it doesn't really dome very well.

This is very likely the last post from me for the remainder of the year. Thank you all so much that have shared in my journey of jewelry discovery. I am going to work on a post that shows one piece a week from the last year. Watch for it soon. I cannot believe how much I have grown in the last year alone. It is just amazing. Thank you all for the words of encouragement and support, they mean all the world to me.
Thank you to all of those that have supported me in my fund raising efforts for the Pre-eclampsia foundation. I think I will be able to donate $500. I know that my stated goal was $1,000, but my original goal was $500. This is the first year I have done this and look forward to doing it next year with even better success.
I hope you all have a very prosperous New Year. May it be filled with peace, love and lots of success.

Melissa,
I think this piece is one of your best; it speaks volumes. I think you should consider making similar pieces that are personalized with a child's name for other moms who have lost infants.
What a wonderful gift you have made for yourself. Wear this with love and pride.

Thanks Meredith,
This is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I would love to add it to my collection of work I do for others. I just need them to find me now.

Hugs to you - I got all choked up reading this post with the memories it brought back for me. I miscarried just before Christmas last year, so this pendant and Kelsi's story really resonates with me. Wishing you and your family all the best for 2008!
