A couple new wire pendants

Riley (my 8-year-old) received a request for a custom piece. She is such a little sales girl and one of my students is about to be the lucky owner of t he following piece. I am so proud of Riley. She made this pendant almost entirely by herself. The only thing I did on this was to turn the ends of the wire so it didn't snag on anything, other than that, this next piece is all her.

While she was working on her pendant, I worked on one of my own. I was just playing around to see what else I could come up with for some of my intro to wire classes. I like how this one turned out. When I showed Riley, her eyes just lit up and she gushed and told me how pretty it was and how much she liked it. She is so good for my ego most days.

I often wonder where to get inspiration for my next piece. I miss having a built cheer leader at home. Mine is now 27, lol. 8 is such a great age and looks like your Riley may follow in Mom's footsteps and has the talent to do it. Well done Riley!

      Lois,

I will certainly pass on your wonderful words for Riley. She is so beyond proud of this piece and of course I am very proud of her as well. I am certainly enjoying my built in cheer leader for the moment. I hope she sticks around for a while and continues to cheer me on. For now, I am certain she is my biggest fan and I am so happy to have that.

      Thanks again,
      ~Melissa~

Thank you Dianne! I am so glad that she is also enjoying jewelry making. I think it is certainly time to start showing her a few other things. She has made me quite aware she is ready to tackle some things that might be a little more difficult.
