Computer Woes

I flew my dad (an accountant) out for a week so we could finally get my quickbooks all in order and get things set up properly. We worked tirelessly for a full week trying to get everything in order. Wouldn't you know that just as we are getting to the finishing touches the stinking computer crashes on me. UGH! I just cried and nearly sold the business. Luckily we were able to recover all the data and programs and things are back up and running.... and I am still in business. I was serious about selling the business because there was NO way that I was going to go through all of that again! Well, my computer was being worked on for over a week and I am so glad to have it back now. I did get into the studio to make a few things. I also spoke with a new shop about teaching at their place. We have agreed on the projects and are just now setting the dates for those classes. I have also added some new classes to my schedule as it is now so be sure to check them out.

I received some other good news about a week ago also. Back in April, before we left for Indonesia I had submitted a couple of pictures to be looked at for a book. The author of the book would like to include some pictures of other artists work to go along with what she is teaching in her book. I figured that since I never heard from them that my pieces weren't selected, but as it turns out, there were just a lot to choose from and they selected one of mine. The book is titled "Mixed Metal Jewelry Workshop" and will be out later in the spring of 2010.

Here are a couple of new leaves that I have made. They will be posted on my website for sale no later than tomorrow.

Girls having Halloween fun:
My girls and I made rice crispy treats last night, but they turned out to be cats. The pictures aren't very good, but you get the point.
