Do you have a dedicated studio/artistic space?

Yes, I do..I am lucky enough to have a studio to be able to create.

Where is it located? In my house

Is it a large or small space? Its quite large and sunny

What medium(s) do you work in? Do you have a separate area for each?

I mainly enjoy metalsmithing..It is fascinating how you can take a cold piece of metal and transform it into a wearable piece! One of my latest addictions is Enameling..

What one word would you use to describe your studio?

big

What do you think is the best feature of your studio?

That it’s big,lol!

What would you change if you could?

I would renovate it with adding a few new furniture and shelves..this way it would become more functional.

Can you share an organizational tip?

In the wall in front of my work bench as you see in the photo, I have hung a small shelf (it was a wooden case for 3 wine bottles, which I sanded and painted white) on which I have put all the small jars with the different enamel colors.

In two large tins I put all my pliers and files..

These two things help me maintain an organized working space..

Describe the usual state of your work table?

Covered with unfinished pieces, and pliers..

Does your work table face out into the room or toward the wall?

it faces toward the wall..

What's one drawback of your studio/artistic space?

It would be great if instead of a wall, I had a window in front of my work bench, and this way I could watch the view..you see, I live on the 7th floor.

Do you have any studio mascots (pets, mannequin whatever)?

I have one photo of me smiling at the age of 4..it makes me feel happy

I also keep a photo of my Dad who passed 2.5 years ago..he was my sponsor..and the reason for wanting to create with my hands..everything I am I owe it to him

Do you have an idea wall or inspiration board?

Just a notebook I keep with my designs.

Do you listen to music in your studio? What kind?

yes..aretha franklin, some pop music, classical music

What's one quirk or unusual feature of your studio?

that there is a sewing machine and balls of yarn right next to my soldering-making jewelry desk!
